TCHAIKOVSKY / Symphony No. 6, “Pathétique”
BRAHMS / Piano Concerto No. 2

Tchaikovsky’s Sixth Symphony has been enshrouded in mystery since the
composer’s sudden death one week after the premiere. Come experience
Tchaikovsky’s greatest achievement in symphonic writing, which has
beguiled music lovers with its sense of “impassioned suffering” for more
than 100 years. Superstar André Watts rounds out the program with one of
the most virtuosic masterworks in the repertoire: Brahms’ Second Piano
Concerto. A favorite of pianists and audiences worldwide, it shines with
poetry, creativity and life.
