An illustrious tour de force, Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade transports
each listener to a magical world of sensual melodies, orchestral color and
incomparable storytelling. The works of Richard Strauss take center stage as
we shine the spotlight on the Colorado Symphony’s principal horn, Michael
Thornton, and the masterful yet playful Second Horn Concerto.

Don’t miss our Preludes and Talkbacks! These free pre and post concert sessions are a great way to learn more about the repertoire, musicians, and other topics relevant to the concert.

Preludes begin one hour prior to the start of each listed concert date and are 30 minutes long.
Talkbacks are following one performance for each concert title (specific dates are noted).
