BRAHMS / Violin Concerto
R. STRAUSS / Ein Heldenleben

Brahms’ Violin Concerto, long recognized as one of the pillars of the concerto
repertoire, is incredibly rich in themes and demands sheer excellence from
soloist and orchestra alike. Taking center stage is Augustin Hadelich, who
returns for this highly-anticipated concert. At its 1899 Frankfurt premiere,
Richard Strauss’ symphonic poem Ein Heldenleben (A Hero’s Life) became
a landmark for the power of the modern orchestra. With its programmatic
nature, Ein Heldenleben delivers an epic audience experience.
