RAVEL / Pavane for a Dead Princess
DORMAN / Spices, Perfumes, Toxins!
DUKAS / The Sorcerer’s Apprentice
DEBUSSY / La Mer

Conjuring images of faraway exotic worlds, La Mer is Debussy’s Impressionistic vision of the stunning colors of the Mediterranean and the mysteries of the sea. Taking for inspiration an old fairytale, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice invokes images of magic and fireworks. Indulge in new music with Spices, Perfumes, Toxins! These three alluring yet perilous substances spark the imagination in Avner Dorman’s concerto. This masterpiece of percussion features the Colorado Symphony’s John Kinzie and Steve Hearn.
