BERNSTEIN Fancy Free
KAHANE Crane Palimpsest
GERSHWIN Concerto In F

Father Jeffrey and son Gabriel team up for an evening that crosses boundaries and defies conventions. Jeffrey Kahane, former Colorado Symphony Music Director, leads the orchestra in Leonard Bernstein’s Fancy Free before joining with his son, Brooklyn-based composer and musician Gabriel Kahane, in Kahane’s Crane Palimpsest. The program finishes as Jeffery Kahane takes to the piano for Gershwin’s ragtime-tinged Concerto in F, ensuring an enchanting evening for all.

Don't forget to arrive early for the prelude at 6:30 pm (12:00 Sunday) hosted by local music historian, Betsy Schwarm. Preludes are insightful discussions that take place before each Masterworks performance and are included with your concert ticket.
