Music Director Designate Brett Mitchell conducts your Colorado Symphony through a varied program of works both old and new. Colorado Symphony Concertmaster Yumi Hwang-Williams performs the world premiere of Rising Phoenix by Daniel Kellogg of the University of Colorado at Boulder, one of Colorado’s top contemporary composers. Brett Michell makes his 2016/17 Season debut leading the season’s biggest ensemble with Beethoven's Overture to King Stephen and Dvorák's Symphony No. 8.
